What is Intraoperative Neuromonitoring?
Intraoperative Neuromonitoring [IONM] is a Neurodiagnostic technique that records, monitors, and analyzes your central and peripheral nervous system function during surgery to provide constant, real time feedback to the surgeon regarding nervous system integrity. The use of IONM guards against neurological complications during surgery and helps reduce the risk of negative surgical outcomes. Evokes uses the standard of care two pronged approach of a certified CNIM (Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Neuromonitoring) technician in the operating room and a neurologist (MD) online in real time to support your surgeon throughout the procedure.
